I am a 2008 graduate of the University of Notre Dame School of Architecture and 2008-09 Fulbright Student Research Fellow. Life has guided (& occasionally dragged) me through an unconventional educational experience in recent years: studying traditional urbanism and regional design in Rome, Italy; designing 'hostales' for community-based tourism in Salasaca, Ecuador; and researching vernacular urban housing typologies in Ahmedabad, India.
But perhaps this is the most accurate description "About" myself:
I am passionate about the intersection of art and community...
how an individualistic creative process has the profound potential to serve a collective experience... how an act of imagination that we regard as wholly introverted can, in fact, enable development of a better world.
...Sensitive urban design sculpts our human interactions.
...Contextually-responsive architecture celebrates and reinforces the values and identity of those who inhabit its spaces.
...Thoughtful fine arts tell of the people, culture, and time behind the work.
It's a terrible, terrific gift - in which I take every pleasure of participating.
